Available configurations
We deliver the complete system: high-clarity radiation shielding glass integrated into technical frames, designed to ensure the continuity of the lead barrier in the wall.
Control Room Window
The standard solution for the wall between the control room and the X-ray/CT room. It ensures visual monitoring of the patient in complete safety for the operator.
Suitable for: X-ray rooms, Computed Tomography (CT), Angiography.
Door Vision Kit
Compact modules (viewing windows) ready to integrate into radiation shielding doors. Includes the glass, the mounting frame and the sealing gaskets, sized so as not to compromise the door structure.
Suitable for: hinged and sliding doors, transit areas.
Panoramic Glazing
Solutions for hybrid operating rooms or angiography, where extended visibility is critical. We can create large glazed surfaces by joining panels with shielded mullions.
Suitable for: Angiography, Hybrid Rooms, PET-CT.
The Frame-Glass System: The continuous barrier
High-performance glass is useless if radiation passes between it and the wall. At MCG Systems, we treat the window as a critical assembly.
Radiation Shielding Glass (High-Clarity):
- Superior clarity: We use glass with a high lead oxide content that still retains excellent transparency, without the pronounced yellow tint of older generations.
- Pb equivalence: Typically available in the 2 and 3 mm variants (or combined for higher values).
The Shielded Frame (The safety element):
- Guaranteed overlap: Our frames are designed with an overlap of at least 100 mm over the lead in the wall, eliminating the risk of linear leaks.
- Adaptability: Telescopic systems that "wrap" the wall, adjustable for varying thicknesses (plasterboard, masonry), enabling a fast and clean installation.
Finishes: Satin stainless steel (for sterile/surgical areas) or electrostatically painted aluminium (for standard rooms).

Why choose the integrated solution?
Impact protection
Radiation shielding glass is, by its very nature, brittle. We can laminate the leaded glass with safety glass (tempered glass) on both faces, preventing accidents and scratches in daily use.
Hygiene and Sterility
The frames are designed without dust "pockets". The joint between glass and frame is sealed, allowing rapid decontamination with hospital-specific substances, without affecting the integrity of the lead.
